Update

Grace had a good night it sounds by my conversation with the nurse this morning. They gave her benadryl this morning as she was kinda antsy again and that seemed to really calm her down as I'm sure she is really itchy with a lot of her healing right now. We look forward to a day of good communication and Gracie being calm and knowing what is going on. I'm headed out here soon but I thought of the song that we listened to yesterday that we were crying to.

Christ for the Nations was singing (Shane & Shane does a great rendition as well)
When I think about the Lord,
How He saved me,
How He raised me
How He filled me, With the Holy Ghost
How He healed me, to the utter most

When I think about the Lord,
How He picked me up and turned me around
How He placed my feet, on solid ground

It makes me wanna shout
Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus
Lord You're worthy
Of all the Glory, and all the Honor
And all the praise

I'll update you all tonight hopefully...

  1. Dear Lamar and Grace,
I don't think I have ever been on the internet this much. Keith and I check daily (if not several times daily) to see how our dear brother and sister are doing! Our family has been praying for you several times a day and I can't tell you how many more times our Father places you on my heart during the day. There are so many people lifting you up and waiting in eager anticipation for God's answers to all our prayers. In Christ's love, Heather for the fam!
PS. Regan wants me to tell you she made a picture for you. She also says, "I love you Mar and Grace". :)

Wow, Justin and I have been praying for you both! Your journey is a real testament to us. While I am sure you would rather not have to be going through this ordeal, know that you are touching lives and the spirit with which you are handling this is such a powerful message to all who read and hear your words.
You mention "sidewinder" and that is a tremendous description, but your expression of faith, trust, and comfort from God brings tears to my eyes every time I read what updates.
We pray for continued healing, comfort and strength for you both! This must feel like such a long process and we are sure you are ready to go back to some normal day to day tasks.
You are surrounded by so much love.
    In His name

  3. It sounds like things are healing and that's the best news yet! I know the tube must drive her batty, but it's only to help. God put your set of doctors in charge for a purpose! They sound positive and gentle and that's the best thing for Gracie. And you...YOU are her rock and I know that makes all the difference in the world to her! Thank you so much for keeping us all updated. I hope to see you guys here on vacation sometime in the next couple years! ;)

    Much love,
    The Files Family

  4. Dear Lamar and Grace,
As God is healing Gracie's body, I see him growing you both spiritually. In this world we all suffer at times, and I wish that weren't the case, but Praise God that he is with us through it! Know that you are continually being prayed over and God honors our prayers- he delights in our praises and prayers to Him. Keep being strong in your Faith and rest assured that God doesn't give us more than we can handle as long as we put our trust in Him. Take care Lamar and keep being the rock for Grace- she is blessed to have you as her husband. We are one of the many that continue to lift you both up in prayer every day and more. Love, Michelle and Keith Erb
