Praying for a day of victory and good news. I'm headed out to be with my lady today. Sounds like it was a restless night again :(. They are going to check her wounds and throat/lungs again today. Thanks for your prayers and care!!
Love you all,
Lamar

We continue to lift you all up in prayer. Hopefully you will receive good news soon and the breathing tube can come out. We have been praying for peaceful rest for Grace and patience as she waits on the Lords timing in regards to her healing.
ReplyDeleteHey Lamar.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know we've been following your blog and praying for you and Grace. Our kids Drew and Maddie pray for you at night and Maddie even put Grace in her prayer journal. They remember you, as does Jeff, as the "really good volleyball couple". :) Love to you both in Christ across the miles.

Hi Lamar,
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks for you guys! We are praying for you and Grace. My daughter has had numerous surgeries/hospital stays at CHOP and I am also grateful for insurance but wished the journey had been different. I know God puts everything into our lives for a reason but it can be extremely painful at times. I am thankful God is holding you both in his hands and giving you the strength and patience you need to endure each day. We will keep praying!!
Blessings,

Lamar,
ReplyDeleteZach and I are continually holding you and Grace up in our prayers. Don't lose heart! God is with you!
I heard this song on the radio yesterday and it made me think of you and Grace. I'm sure you've heard it, Chris Rice's Untitled Hymn. Here are the two verses that really touched me and I hope they remind you that your strength and hope is in the Lord.
Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live.
O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live.
Still praying,
Zach and Erin
continuing to pray for you Lamar that our Heavenly Father will give you rest and peace and for Grace for healing, peace, and calmness trusting in the Lord's will
ReplyDeleteDeb[for Mike and Deb]
Haven't stopped praying for you guys. I know it's hard to walk out of the hospital every night and leave your loved one "behind". I was thinking about this last night while I was praying for you, and God reminded me that you aren't leaving Grace alone. She is in the best possible hands. The Lord provided the most awesome picture in my head of Grace and her guardian angel, who stays by her side through the night. Be encouraged, don't lose heart. You and your families have people from across the US--and across the world-- lifting you up in prayer.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that you are both continually in our thoughts and prayers! It was good to see you, Lamar, in Sunday School. Continue to trust the Lord and know that He will carry you through! (Matthew 28:20)
ReplyDeleteThe Livengood's
Jan asked for song suggestions to be put on Grace's iPod. The first song that came to mind is Allen Asbury's "Somebody's Praying Me Through".
ReplyDeleteThe song that's been going through my head all day at work (I'm a night nurse with a 12-hr shift) is Avalon's new song, "Still My God". Here is the chorus:
"If I'm standing on a mountain
Or drowning in a sea
If I am filled with hope
Or crying out for mercy
If I'm singing hallelujah
Or scared to make a sound
If I am learning how to walk
Or when I'm falling down
I'm saying You are still my God
Still my God."
Praying for you!
